Lanier Management is looking for a Bookkeeper Accounting Assistant to join our team!

The Bookkeeper Accounting Assistant position has the day-to-day responsibility for the accounting function of this growing real estate company and assists the Controller in the full cycle of accounting duties. This position requires technical proficiency in accounting, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Full cycle A/P, including processing in a timely manner while verifying the accuracy, proper authorization and proof of insurance.
Full cycle A/R, process payments and coordinate collection efforts (including payment plan requests).
Respond to inquiries from Superintendents, Owners & 3rd Party Property Management Clients.
Assist with the month and year-end close (1099’s, Workers Comp Audit, Payroll Reports).

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have experience in A/R, A/P, cash management, MS Office, Real Estate, AppFolio & Timberline/Sage a plus.
Candidate must have a knowledge of the natural flow of accounting transactions from P&L to Balance Sheet.
Strong analytical skills.
Accurate data entry skills.
Computer and systems savvy.
5+ years of accounting experience

Accounting Degree is a plus!
